DEMONSTRATING EXCEPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT

In the 15 years since its foundation, the Global Energy Prize has been awarded to 35 scientists and researchers around the world who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in their field. The laureates come from nine different countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Iceland, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the USA.

Thorsteinn Ingi Sigfusson (Iceland)

Awarded the Global Energy Prize for the project «Research and development to implement hydrogen energy generation in Iceland».

Geoffrey Hewitt (UK)

Author of the standard reference "Introduction to nuclear energy," and awarded the prize for developing the idea of fuel generation on the basis of water power.

Vladimir Nakoryakov (Russia)

Author of more than four hundred articles and over thirty patents in the theoretical foundations for modern power engineering, and awarded the prize for the project "Physical and technical bases of heat and power technologies - fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and non-stationary wave processes in multiphase media".
