The Global Energy Prize is the 2016 SABRE Awards finalist
The Global Energy Prize is the 2016 SABRE Awards finalist for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. This is one of the most influential communication prizes. It recognizes Superior Achievement in Branding Reputation and Engagement (SABRE). The Global Energy Prize submitted for the contest its project – “Scientists as the XXI Century Super Heroes”. It was recognized as one out of the five best nominees in “Marketing to Youth” practice area.
The SABRE Awards was established more than 20 years ago and is being annually bestowed by the leading American PR and communication publishing, The Holmes Report. The finalists are selected from the great amount of nominees: more than 5000 entries from 60 countries of the world.
“We participate in the contest with our “Scientists as the XXI Century Super Heroes” project. It is tailored to the youth programs of the Global Energy Prize. They are aimed at making science and energy knowledge popular among the youth, as well as at inspiring them to work in the industry”, - declares the “Global Energy”, Non-profit partnership’s President Igor Lobovsky. – “It`s a pleasure for us to get high estimation of our work by leading European professionals, since it is one of the priority directions of our activities. Inspiring young scientists to engage into research through grants and personal monetary prizes as well as through exchange of experience with best scientific minds of our humankind, namely, the Global Energy Prize laureates, we not only formulate the future of energy thought, but also bring up possible future laureates and support the innovative development of the industry in general.”
The “Scientists as the XXI Century Super Heroes” project included four programs: “The Energy of Youth- contest of youth scientific projects in the field of energy (embraces 51 regions of Russia, the total amount of allocated grants is RUB 35,5 million); “The Energy of Breakthrough” – contest of youth implemented innovative energy projects (covers 16 regions of Russia and grants personal monetary prize of RUB 1 million); “The Energy of Adventure” – the program for young energy specialists travelling all around the world and telling the audience about both local and global energy peculiarities (young travelers have already visited more than 18 countries of all continents during the 4 program’s stages); and the “Energy of Knowledge” – the program that unites the Global Energy Prize laureates and with young scientist for the exchange of knowledge and experience (annual interactive lectures were given in the leading industry higher institutional organizations of the country).
The Global Energy Prize submitted its project in cooperation with international communication agency FleishmanHillard Vanguard with which it has a successful partnership since 2012.
The winners will be announced at awards dinner, to be held in Berlin on May 25.
