The Rugrids-Electro participants to choose a nominee for the Global Energy Prize 2017
The “Global Energy” Non-Profit Partnership, the organizer of the like-named international energy prize, will present a unique promotion initiative in the framework of the 5th international electric power forum Rugrids-Electro. Guests of this forum will be able to choose a nominee for the Global Energy Prize 2017. The “Energy Nobel” laureates (the world’s media calls the Global Energy Prize this way) will be announced in April 2017.
As a recall, the self-nomination for the Prize is not acceptable. Traditionally, the right to nominate candidates for the Prize is given to the world's leading minds of the energy community, who are included in the nomination pool. Nowadays there are 3 000 people from 83 countries in it. The initial stage of the nomination process, selection of nominees, is very important, as it in many ways determines who will finally be awarded the Global Energy Prize.
For the first time in fourteen-year history of the “Global Energy” project, the Rugrids participants will be provided with a unique opportunity to nominate for the Prize. They will vote for one of the experts in the field of electric energy. To vote one needs to visit the “Global Energy” lounge-zone on October 18th or 19th. All information about 10 candidates and the voting option will be presented to guests by means of a special site. It is worth mentioning that each of 10 candidates is a star in the field of electric energy industry. Results of the Partnership’s initiative will be accumulated at the end of the forum. An expert, who wins the majority of votes, will participate in the Prize 15th nomination cycle and receive a chance to become 2017 laureate.
