Series of lectures was held in Moscow in the framework of “The Energy of Knowledge” program

On November 24 the Global Energy Prize laureate 2005 Klaus Riedle (Germany) delivered a lecture at Moscow school №1374 and the main building of Moscow State Institute of International Relations. During the same day the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee member William Il Buyn (Singapore) lectured at MGIMO filiation in Odintsovo.

Three million rubles for innovations in energy: “The Energy of Youth” winners have been awarded in Moscow

On November 24 the members of the “Global Energy” Association Board of Trustees – Russian minister of energy Alexander Novak and chairman of board of directors at FGC UES, one of the Association members, Andrey Murov, along with the member of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee and the expert committee, which contributed to the reports of the IPCC awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, Rae Kwon Chung awarded the winners of the XIII All-Russian contest of youth scientific projects in the field of energy “The Energy of Youth”. The scientific teams from Tomsk, Saint Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk received RUB 3 mln for their further research. Each grant amounted to RUB 1 mln they will use for innovations development that will improve energy systems’ effectiveness, enhance hydroelectric power stations’ capacity and help to save energy.

The Global Energy Prize Summit: new energy paradigm and technologies – the response to the stressful global energy development

The Global Energy Prize Summit’2016 took place in Moscow on November 23. It united the world-famous scientists and leading experts from 6 countries for a polemic discussion on the topic "Stress scenario of the world energy development". This was the key event of the V International forum on energy efficiency and energy development ENES 2016. The Global Energy Prize laureates and the members of the International Award Committee while trying to predict the future of the industry came to the conclusion that the new energy paradigm and new technologies are the best response to contemporary challenges.

The Global Energy Prize Tour has been launched at NRU HSE

On November 23 the National Research University - Higher School of Economics hosted the round table, which presented the first way-point of the Global Energy Prize Tour. The round table was held with participation of the Global Energy Prize laureates, the members of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee, president of “Global Energy” Association Igor Lobovsky, as well as representatives of innovative companies, authorities and research centers.

In memory of the Global Energy Prize laureate RAS academician Fyodor Mitenkov

The outstanding Russian scientist, the Global Energy Prize laureate 2004 Russian Academy of Sciences academician Fyodor Mitenkov died on November 9, 2016. The scholar’s contribution to the development of Russian science and atomic energy can not be overestimated. The academician Mitenkov’s name is closely related to the development of nuclear power generating systems for civil and military purposes. The scientist’s work made it possible the leadership of our country in the area of ice-breakers’ construction industry and development of fast-neutron nuclear reactors.

On the 24th of November the winners of the XIII All-Russian contest of youth scientific projects in the field of energy “The Energy of Youth” will be awarded in the framework the 5th International forum on energy efficiency and energy development ENES 2016. As anticipated, the young scholars from Tomsk, Saint Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk will be awarded by the members of the Global Energy Association’s Board of Trustees – Alexander Novak, Russian minister of energy, and Andrey Murov, chairman of board of directors at PJSC FGC UES – one of the Global Energy Association members. The winners will receive RUS 1 mln for their research development, which enhance hydroelectric power stations’ capacity, help to save energy and improve energy systems’ effectiveness.
