The Scientific and Practical Symposium of Global Energy Prize in Power Machines
May 29, a scientific and practical symposium Energy of Thought will be held in Power Machines. The event is annually taking place as part of the Laureates' Week of the Global Energy Prize.
Laureate of the Global Energy Prize in 2017 Graetzel (Switzerland), President of the Global Energy Association Igor Lobovsky and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, A.F. Ioffe Vyacheslav Andreev will give their lectures at a meeting with representatives of engineering and technical center of power plant company.
Igor Lobovsky, president of the Global Energy Association, will present the main achievements of the award for 15 years of its existence.
Michael Graetzel, the developer of low cost and efficient solar cells, will tell in detail about his invention, its applications and industrial implementation. He will also share information about why his solar cells are a profitable alternative to expensive and complex technologies of photovoltaic arrays based on silicon and what world records in the development of materials for solar energy he managed to achieve.
The meeting will be moderated by Deputy General Director - Principal Designer of Power Machines, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee - Yuri Petrenya.
In the second, practical part of the symposium, a round table Energy of Youth will take place with the participation of the winners of the All-Russian contest and young specialists of engineering and technical services of Power Machines. Young scientists will present results of their work in the framework of grants received in 2015. Their developments make it possible to bring the Russian geological exploration to a new level, as well as solve the issues of remote power supply of aircrafts and the production of a new generation biofuel.
