Adnan Amin met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
June 16, Adnan Amin, member of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee, International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) director general, met with the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Nazarbayev in the framework of EXPO 2017.
The Director General of IRENA shared his forecasts for the development of modern energetics. The parties discussed a wide range of issues in terms of promising areas of cooperation. Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the integrating role of IRENA, which unites the efforts of various countries in the field of renewable energy..
The head of state emphasized that the activity of IRENA is more important than ever, when the issue of global ecology is getting more acute every year. Note that previously reported on possible options for cooperation with the application of the experience of the agency in Central Asia, drawing on the activities of IRENA in Africa. This experience speaks in favor of the fact that there are renewable energy sources (RES) easier on a scale than in a single country. Interaction at the level level allows to obtain all the advantages from their implementation, as well as opens the possibility of solving accumulated energy and environmental problems, which is very important for Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that right now only Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are full members of IRENA. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are currently in the process of ratification. Turkmenistan did not join the organization.
The head of state emphasized that the activity of IRENA now is more important than ever, when the problem of global ecology is getting especially acute every year. Recall that the international agency for renewable energy sources contributes to increasing the pace of use of renewable energy sources around the world and the dissemination of knowledge and technology in this area.
