The Global Energy Prize supported the Energy of Youth Forum - 2017
August 25, 2017 in Kislovodsk, the Global Energy Prize took part in the opening of the VII Interregional Summer Education Forum the Energy of Youth. Senior students who won the second and third places of the competition the Energy of Start - 2017, received invitations to the Forum. Within the framework of the event, young energy specialists from more than 10 regions of Russia explored the power system of the South of Russia and proposed their own solutions for its development in the context of the construction of the international energy corridor - North-South.
Being an umbrella brand, the Global Energy Prize includes programs aimed at popularizing energy science among young and very young professionals, such as the Energy of Youth andthe Energy of Start. The association also supports projects aimed at solving same problems, similar to the Energy of Youth Forum, which aims at the professional orientation of young people towards the energy sector.
It should be noted that in 2017 students from 17 regions participated in the II All-Russian program for schoolchildren the Energy of Start, conducted by the Global Energy Prize. They were preparing devices for the topic - Energy efficiency in my house. The Grand Prix of the competition was won by the guys from Novosibirsk for their installation - SolarBOX12V. However, there were many outstanding works and second and third places were also awarded. The prize for talented children - Orsher Arina, Kisiev Dmitri, Borzunov Anton, Letunovskaya Anastasia, Barkova Danila, Alta Anastasia, Hamburg Eduard and Kuzminoy Anastasia - was a trip to the Energy of Youth VII Interregional Summer Education Forum.
On the opening day of the Forum, the participants began acquaintance with the unified energy system of the South of Russia. Within six days, they developed proposals for the development of the power system of the Stavropol Territory until 2022, taking into account the construction of the international energy corridor "North-South" and were acquainted with the work of key power facilities in the Stavropol Territory.
The team's decisions will be presented to the expert commission from representatives of the regional energy companies, including the ODU South Branch of SO UES, the branch of PJSC FGC UES of MES South, the PJSC IDGC of the North Caucasus, the branch of PJSC RusHydro - the Cascade of Kuban HPPs , Stavropol Territory Energy Conservation Center, Branch of PJSC IDGC of the North Caucasus - Stavropolenergo, OOO LUKOIL Stavropolenergo and others.
