THE GLOBAL ENERGY PRIZE LAUREATES - 2018 TO BE ANNOUNCED ON JUNE 7

The names of new laureates of an international award - The Global Energy Prize – will be announced in TASS press center on June 7, 2018. The award annually acknowledges breakthrough achievements in the energy field, which help humanity to solve the most serious energy issues. During the solemn ceremony which will be held in the framework of the Russian Energy Week International Forum, the new laureates will receive golden medals, diplomas, honorary lapel badges and will share RUB 39 000 000 (approximately $ 700 000).

The Global Energy Association announces the extension of the application submission for participation in the IV All-Russian competition of implemented innovative projects in the field of energy, the Energy of Breakthrough. The period has been prolonged due to the contestants` numerous requests. Registration will be open until June 30, 2018.

Vladimir Nakoryakov died at the age of 82 years on April 1, 2018, reported Russian newswire TASS with reference to the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Vladimir Eliferievich was an outstanding scientist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, laureate of the Global Energy Energy Prize - 2007 for the project "Physicotechnical Bases of Power Technologies — Hydrodinamics and Heat Exchange, Non-Stationary and Wave Processes in Multiphase Mediums".

The winner will receive a personal bonus of 1 million rubles.
