Today the Global Energy Foundation began accepting applications for the Seventh All-Russian Youth Competition of Research Projects in the field of energy “Energy of Youth.” The closing date for applications is 1^st November 2010. The Expert Commission of the Global Energy International Award Committee will make a decision on the winner.

On 9 June 2010 the Executive Director of the Global Energy International Prize delivered a lecture on the subject of Green Energy and Russian Energy Technology: One Road, One Goal? for attendees of the Sustainable Development course organized by Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) in Venice.

On June 18, 2010, the Global Energy Foundation’s Laureate Week will be concluded with another grand presentation ceremony for the Global Energy Prize at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. This year the International Prize Committee awarded the Prize to Aleksandr Leontiev of Russia, and Boris Paton of Ukraine.
